Truth and Compassion
Walking My Path of Reconciliation
I am dedicated to pursuing peace and justice through a deep commitment to truth and reconciliation. As a Christian and Roman Catholic in a multicultural society, I support an inclusive, secular approach to life and grieve the horrific abuses committed by some co-religionists in the name of faith.
Learning about the Doctrine of Discovery and its devastating impact has profoundly troubled me. I believe God is Mercy and Love Incarnate, and acknowledging the violence carried out by those claiming His name brings deep sorrow.
Guided by compassion, I strive to reject cruelty, elitism, exclusion, misogyny, and racism. With humility, I honor all Creation and stand as an ally to Indigenous, Métis, and vulnerable peoples, and all conscious life.
